    • ascends the lateral side of the thigh to the hip (Juliáo GB-29) and the postero-lateral costal region to the posterior axillary fold,

    • zig-zags across the top of the shoulder,

    • ascends across the neck to the corner of the mouth,

    • ascends the cheek and alongside the nose to the inner canthus and communicates with the Yin Motility vessel and the Bladder channel at Jingming BL-1,

    • continues upwards to the forehead then curves across the parietal region and descends to meet with Fēngchí GB-20 and enters the brain "at the occiput between the two tendons".

    Coalescent points: Shenmài BL-62, Púcăn BL-61, Fùyáng BL-59, Juliáo GB-29, Nãosh SI-10, Jianyú L.I.-15, Jùgü L.I.-16, Dicãng ST-4, Juliáo ST-3, Chéngqì ST-1, Jingming BL-1 and Fēngchí GB-20.
